Ethical and Sustainability Stance
B.O.Y.D STUDIO produces slow fashion made with integrity and a commitment to minimising its impact on the environment.
All products are designed in Fitzroy and manufactured sustainably in or around the neighbouring suburbs of Melbourne, shortening the transit times and energy required to get our garments from factory to shop.
In order to reduce wastage, we donate end of season garments to the Salvation Army so they can be sold through its retail stores, or repurposed.
Almost everything we produce is made from natural fabrications, predominately cotton and wool. To reduce the amount of microfibres released into the environment.
We respect the people and businesses within our supply chain that help us create premium local made garments and are advocates for preserving Melbourne’s unique creative and manufacturing industries.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that this continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
